Public telephones are a unique part of each countries culture. No matter where you go, the pay phones always look somewhat different. I never understood this, but it is sort of nice. This is a Beijing Payphone, which are different from Shanghai payphones (see below).

This is an amazing invention. I am surprised we don't have them in New York, yet. It is a vending machine that you pay money to charge your cell phone. There are different power adapters for each type of cell phone. It was located in the lobby of a resturant we went to.
